Nova Shield exists because we couldn't find a battery cover that met our standards.

As the team behind Astra Solar, one of Australia's established solar installation companies, we install residential battery systems every week. And we kept wanting a better battery cover than the ones we could buy.

The biggest frustration was access. The covers we used had to come off the wall just to reach the battery for routine maintenance.

We decided to build something better.

Nova Shield covers are made from 2mm 5052 aluminium alloy with a textured, zinc-rich powder coat. A fixed front panel and sloped lid shade the battery from sun and rain, while open vents on both sides let air move freely.

Every detail has been considered. The 90° folded return edges. The textured powder coat finish. The open back, bottom and side vents for airflow.

Every cover is made to our drawings by our manufacturing partner, KDM. Because we're installers ourselves, we know exactly what the trade needs — and we built Nova Shield to deliver it.
