Nova Shield exists because we couldn't find a battery enclosure cover that met our standards.

As the team behind Astra Solar, one of Australia's established solar installation companies, we install residential battery systems every week. And every week, we dealt with the same problem: the covers available on the market were poorly made, poorly designed, and came from suppliers who couldn't deliver reliably.

The worst part? Every single cover on the market required the entire enclosure to be unscrewed from the wall just to access the battery for routine maintenance. That meant tools, time, risk of wall damage, and frustrated technicians on every service call.

We decided to build something better.

Nova Shield covers are precision-engineered from 2mm 5052 aluminium alloy, powder coated to marine-grade standard. They're the only battery enclosure cover on the market with a locking 180° opening front panel — meaning you can access the battery in seconds, with no tools, and the enclosure never leaves the wall.

Every detail has been considered. The keyed lock. The Ø18 riveting nut hinges. The 90° folded return edges. The textured powder coat finish. This is serious engineering for a serious investment.

We manufacture to precise specifications with our engineering partner KDM Steel, and we quality-control every unit before it ships. Because we're installers ourselves, we know exactly what the trade needs — and we built Nova Shield to deliver it.
